What about Veerse Meer, within 1km away, where you can enjoy the lake by renting a boat or explore the lake by canoe or surfboard. Also a city trip is highly recommended. With cities as Goes and Middelburg you are ensured to visit historical city centers with a variety of activities. Of course you can go shopping, but what about joining the ancient steam tram, have a guided city tour and much more

. A large number of cycling tours, that lead you through the beautiful, authentic countryside of Zealand. On these tours you can visit the Dutch Farm, known for its children farm, minigolf, several old handicrafts and the renewed swimming arena. During the summer season a special cycling tour is being offered where you can make use of small ferryboats that will take you to a different island without too much effort.

Situated at 7 kilometers distance: the small airport of Midden Zealand. Here you can board sightseeing flights. For those willing to stay on firm ground you can enjoy the planes from a terrace or visit the aviation museum at the pitch. Are you more into horse-riding, you can make outdoor trips starting at one of the two horse-riding schools in the direct surroundings.

Of course you can also visit the Nord Sea, or the 'Deltawerken', created to protect Zealand against the sea - to prevent floods as back in 1953. In your holiday house 'Het Klompje' you can find a binder with detailed information about these (and more) activities. For shopping you can visit Wolphaartsdijk, where you will find a supermarket and a butcher. At the Rabobank you can find an ATM. At a nearby camping-site you can do your purchases 7 days a week; Even on Sundays you can have fresh rolls and bread ! For dinner several nice restaurants are available, some overlooking the Veerse Meer. But 'Het Klompje' offers you a complete kitchen so you can also cook yourself.
